Is anyone out there?
Hey! I check this out everyday to find out what is going on in the ever revolving days of our lives, but alas, it seems that no one has anything at all going on except for Darroline, Aunt Kathy, and I at this point. So I am not going to check this blog for the next two weeks to see what surprises are in store for me.
So this is the last update from this side of the border for you all for a while:
It is still cold and brown here with no snow in sight, just brown leaves, brown grass, dirt and dirty looking lawns. We will be hitting the 50's this coming week though and everyone that I know is planning on getting out and starting lawn prep for the coming warm days. I finally cleaned out my basement and unpacked the 30 boxes left down there from our move here from a year ago so that I don't have the guilt feelings that they are sitting down there calling to me while I am out tending to my future flower plots and raking out the corners of the yard.
Michael and Bob are busy right now playing with nascar 2006 on the play station and Samantha is doing another epic artwork for me. She is actually doing pretty well for her age -- you should see the Sponge Bob that she drew me the other day and the playground that she did last night. Maybe she will be another Aunt Kathy! Michael can draw fairly well too, but he just won't. He sings all of the time though and carries a great tune. He gets sixes in music class all of the time and the grading scales goes from 0 to 6. Pretty snazzy, huh?
I think that I am going to drag all of my scrapbooking supplies out today and do as many pages as I can. I have been reading too much of late and can feel myself getting burned out on it. Good pick for the week though:
I dreamed I married Perry mason by Susan Kandel. It is a really light mystery about a woman who does biographies on writers and finds herself solving an old murder mystery that crops up in her research of Earl Stanley Gardner. I learned quite a bit about him while reading the book too!
Well ta ta for now-- hugs to all-- Cyn
